It is as if the stream strayed from steady
A rippled wash of nights confetti
A life lived long without the hunger
Famished thoughts left to wonder
What is love but life with reason
A fall, a spring, a summers season
It is as if love lost its will
A heart deprived, loose and still
A hand hardened to its end
Stained by distain to make amends
Skin exposed to frigid heat
Pained by swells of fools defeat
It is as if the ocean lost its blue
The sun – its hue
A rose stripped from scent
Abandoned, bruised and bent
Hills peeled of their height
And hope – all its might

That’s Beautiful…
I especially liked “What is love but life with reason
A fall, a spring, a summers season.”
