DUI of emotions is a suspension of judgement. Wanting to see the good in people can become a debilitating trait. We throw out rational thinking and put sympathy in its place. By doing this, we unknowingly grant toxic energy to be injected straight in to our veins, affecting us almost instantly. We feel it, we smell it, we taste the negativity on our tongues. Yet do nothing, for we are under the influence of what can be considered sociopath manipulation. This charming man, with the unbelievable ability to lie without a twitch of remorse, has been present in all of our lives one way or another. Bringing nothing but gifts of doubt, pain, and stress in to our space, using self-pity as the ultimate tool for manipulation. A suspension of judgement is chronically dangerous.
When trying to find the good in people, we must try to keep a healthy distance from a potentially poisoned aura. Trust that feeling in the pit of your stomach when you’re unable to sleep, unable to eat, unable to think logically because it’s warning you to stay away. A suspension of judgment can lead to permanent damage. But it can also lead to a much needed life lesson, where we become so wise and so strong that we then have the amazing super power of spotting toxic energy before it even looks at us.
